Milk + Honey is a decade-long dream that is hoping to become a reality. It is currently a home bakery that makes custom baked goods for various events and occasions, or just because! The focus is on simple yet beautiful baked creations, using the best fresh, organic, and local products whenever possible.
The roots of Milk + Honey start on the couch in the living room where five-year-old Rachel would watch episode after episode of Food Network with grandma. The passion for cooking and baking grew steadily throughout the years of flour-laden kitchen counter tops, beaters filled with frosting, and sticky fingers from kneaded dough. It was the summer of 2013 while I lived in Tennessee when I started my first food blog and was whipping up new recipes every evening. From there, the desire to pursue another freelance business grew, and here we are now!
Milk + Honey is all about you. I make custom sweet and savory baked goods to your specifications, ranging from cupcakes, breads, and apple pies to three-tiered wedding cakes. You tell me exactly what you want and I will curate the best recipe(s) for your occasion. We will do taste testings and design draftings together so the end result is true to what you’re envisioning, both in appearance and in taste.
I strongly believe in the beauty of homemade products with as many organic ingredients selected from the local farmers market as possible. Your baked goods will be 100% made from scratch, and rest assured that they will be made with quality and the utmost attention.
