Where are you located?
I am based in Grand Rapids, MI, but travel often between here and Ann Arbor and Troy, MI. I do have a gas charge for locations over ten miles away. I would love to travel across the country if given the opportunity!
What equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Nikon D800. As for lenses, I use a Nikon 85mm 1.4G, a Sigma 12-24mm 4.5-5.6, and a Sigma 35mm 1.4. I have a Nikon SB-910 speedlight external flash as well.
What do you use to edit your photos?
I use Adobe Lightroom and occasionally GIMP 2.
How long does it take to edit the photos?
I love editing so it’s a super quick process for me. It largely depends on how many albums I have to edit and how busy I am with work, but I try to get albums out as quickly as possible–definitely within a few weeks.
How many outfits can I bring for my portrait shoot?
I allow unlimited outfit changes for portrait shoots. I’ve done up to seven outfits for an hour long shoot once but that was pretty crazy. I recommend around three or four maximum for one hour.
How many poses do you take during a shoot?
Unlimited until our time is up! We’ll use up the entire time taking shots.
What do we do if it rains or if the weather is bad?
We will play it by ear to see if the inclement weather passes. But if it doesn’t, you can reschedule your shoot date. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, shoots in the rain can be really fun!
Do you have a contract or security deposit?
Nope! I trust you. Once a shoot is booked, I have it booked. I’m pretty lenient on cancellations as long as you have a good reason. However, if you just don’t show up to your shoot, that’s a different story. Or if you drop me as your wedding photographer with very short notice. There’s some fees for that.
How do I go about paying you?
You’re going to pay me on the day of the shoot/wedding/event with either cash or check.
